Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot

Silicon Valley Turkey Trot
From 2010 to 2017 I was the lead designer and art director for all of the printed materials, web assets, and apparel for the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot. I worked directly with the print shops, apparel manufacturers, and other team members to make sure that everything worked well together, and made it to our participants in time for the Trot.
In 2010 when I started at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, the Turkey Trot was already under way. The logo The colors and logo had been chosen before my time and my only job was to apply them to the various print and web materials that were required.
In 2011 I successfully lobbied with the board to change the logo and branding for the Turkey Trot with the following logo and color variations.
It was considered a huge successwith over 22,000 participants and over $600,000 donated to charity.
In the following years I made tweaks and changes along with the annual color change, the following files reflect some of the changes the project went through in that time.
The brochure in 2010 was a simple trifold design that worked but wasn't sophisticated enough for the new branding.
I spent the early spring of 2011 prototyping and coming up with a new brochure design.

The 2 sides of the new brochure hold different sections worth of info, and when folded appear to be broken down labeled sections.
